The event aims to review the 10-year anniversary of the establishment of the Central Vietnam disaster prevention support fund.
Former State President Trương Tấn Sang attended the event. Established in 2009, the fund has raised over 12.8 million USD, built dozens of schools and medical centers, and implemented numerous community projects on disaster prevention.
The fund has also provided support for thousands of households that have suffered from natural disasters. To mark the occasion, the fund honored and granted medals to 34 units for their active participation in disaster prevention.
