Last night (4th October), the premiere of the philanthropic program "Cặp lá yêu thương" took place at Vietnam Television Headquarter.
This is a new project by News Center VTV24 - Vietnam Television collaborating with Ministry of Labor, War Invalids & Social Welfare and Vietnam Bank for Social Policies. This project aimed at supporting disadvantaged residences, especially poor and disabled children.
The event occurred with the presence of Vietnamese Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, Minister of Labor, War Invalids & Social Welfare Pham Thi Hai Chuyen, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien- Vice General of Vietnam Television, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai - Vice General of Vietnam Bank for Social Policies with many other philanthropists.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Labor, War Invalids & Social Welfare Pham Thi Hai Chuyen said: "Cặp lá yêu thương is the program with rich humanism and practical significance, which support and encourage disadvantaged residences, poor and disabled children. It also plays a role as a bridge that links philanthropists to the poor.
I highly appreciate the idea of producing Cặp lá yêu thương from VTV24. Once Cặp lá yêu thương is on air, I believe it will have a widespread influence on everyone that evokes our compassion, moral and humane code, especially " The good leaves protect the worn-out leaves".

During the event, Host Hanh Phuc leaded the audience to many disadvantaged homes through short reportages. He also accompanied the program's special guests: My Hao - a 12-year-old girl who suffers from "glass bones" Osteogenesis Imperfecta and 2 brothers Ngo Van Duc & Ngo Thi Hang coming from a family that has 5 blind members.
Following the story from those unlucky children, many audiences felt touched and burst into tears. Their innocence, their hopes, their dreams to a better life made many people impossible to hold back their emotions.

Especially on this occasion, singer Tung Duong - the ambassador of Cặp lá yêu thương - and Mr. Nguyen Quang Thach - the pioneer of project "Bring books to our community" - also attended the ceremony. They brought many special gifts for My Hao, Ngo Van Duc and Ngo Thi Hang.
Additionally, Tung Duong had a duet performance with My Hao for the song “Living as flowers” (Vietnamese "Sống như những đoá hoa"). Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Quang Thach gave the 3 children a lot of charitable books and encouraged them to read and learn. He also hoped to seek for audio books, which dedicated to Ngo Van Duc and Ngo Thi Hang's family.

Also at the premiere, News Center VTV24 and Ministry of Labor, War Invalids & Social Welfare signed a collaborating agreement. "Cặp lá yêu thương" is officially launched, calling the philanthropist (as "The Good Leaves") to assist the poor (as "The Worn-out Leaves") at least VND200.000/month in order to help children to overcome their difficulties. According to the agreement, the money from "The Good Leaves" will be transferred to "The Worn-out Leaves" through Vietnam Bank for Social Policies.

With the message "VND200.000 per month, chances of learning, chances of changing", all of representatives hope to ease those poor children's pains and drawbacks and to give them a better life.
"Cặp lá yêu thương" will be televised 2 reportages per week at 11:15am and 6:30pm on every Tuesday and Thursday during the news program “24h Movement” (Vietnamese: "Chuyển động 24h").
At noon of the first Sunday every month, "Cặp lá yêu thương" will live from a specific province/city for 30 minutes to enhance the connection between philanthropists and unlucky children. This live show will take place in all 63 provinces of Vietnam.
