The 2,000-meter long bridge bridge connects Cao Lãnh city to Lấp Vò district, Đồng Tháp province. It's a 24.5 meter wide cable-stayed bridge that sits 37.5 meters above the Tiền River.
The bridge is designed to have four lanes for motorized vehicles and two for non-motorized ones. Upon completion, the bridge will benefit five million residents in the region and meet the travel demands of 170,000 people per day.
The project's total investment is over $130 million US dollars, and was sourced from Australia’s non-refundable aid, the Asia Development Bank, and Vietnam’s correspondent fund.
