VTV.vn - A system that manages the national supply chain for medicines will come into effect this July.

It will connect drug-stores that meet Good Pharmacy Practice standards and hospitals' drug-stores.

At a working session with the Ministry of Health and the Viettel Group on Monday, Deputy Prime Minister Vũ Đức Đam expressed his hopes that the the system will help the government control the quality and price of medicines sold at these drug-stores.

This standardized system currently supports 52,000 types of medicine. The system has already been tested in drug-stores in Hưng Yên, Vĩnh Phúc and Phú Thọ provinces.
