This sentiment was announced in a report on the opinions and petitions of voters and citizens nationwide. The report was delivered by President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Trần Thanh Mẫn on Monday.
The report collected nearly 3,500 opinions and petitions from voters and citizens nationwide for submission to the National Assembly.
Voters raised their concerns on a number of issues such as economic restructuring, labour productivity, the competitiveness of the economy, environmental protection, food safety, ethic degradation, school violence, and child abuse, among others.
Based on the collected opinions and petitions, stronger measures are needed to fight corruption and wastefulness in the political system as well as in society.
