According to the Cambodian police, the two CNRP members faked their birth origins and posted them on facebook to distort the relation between Cambodia and Vietnam. This is not the first time CNRP officials have used social media to distribute false information about relations between the two countries. A recent case also involved an obvious fabrication of birth certificate which claimed the Cambodian province of Takéo was now owned by Vietnam. This was then posted on Facebook.
