For the first time, a bank in Vietnam made a profit of over 431.5 million USD in the first six months of a year.
Vietcombank announced its pre-tax profit reached nearly 486.9 million USD, a 40.7% rise compared with the same period last year. Small and medium sized banks also witnessed impressive profits. TP Bank had a profit of 69.9 million USD and VIB Bank had a pre-tax profit of over 78.5 million USD. Sacombank's rate of bad debts declined from 2.11% to 1.96%.
