VTV.vn - British No. 1 Andy Murray will play France's top player Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the second singles match of Friday's Davis Cup quarter-final.

Murray is looking to forget about last week's Grand Slam disappointment by booking Great Britain a semi-final berth in the World Group stages of the Davis Cup for the first time since 1981.

Murray lost in straight sets to Roger Federer and said he was "gutted" after the semi-final defeat at Wimbledon.

Meanwhile, Britain's third-best player James Ward will face Gilles Simon in the first singles match at the Queen's Club.

Ward climbed 22 places, from 111 up to No 89, thanks to his victories over Luca Vanni and Jiri Vesely at Wimbledon.

The 28-year-old, who will kick off the tie on Friday, eventually bowed out of Wimbledon in a five-set thriller to Vasek Pospisil, who went on to lose to Murray.

Murray's brother Jamie is provisionally scheduled to play alongside Dominic Inglot in the doubles on Saturday against French pair Richard Gasquet and Nicolas Mahut.

Jamie Murray and tour partner John Peers were runners-up in this year's men's doubles at Wimbledon.

The winners of the tie will face Australia or Kazakshtan in September for a place in the final.
