VTV.vn - Tsutomu Takebe, special advisor to the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance, pledged continued efforts to foster bilateral ties, especially in constructing the Viet Nhat university.

Meeting Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung in Hanoi on July 14, Takebe also promised to call for Japanese investment in the Hoa Lac hi-tech park, the north-south high-speed railway and the Long Thanh international airport. He pledged to continue facilitating the reception of Vietnamese agriculture trainees to Japan and cultural and people-to-people exchanges.

Takebe also spoke highly of the outcomes of talks between the Vietnamese and Japanese PMs during the host’s recent visit to Japan, saying the Japan - Vietnam relationship has come a long way and is deepening. The guest assured his host that he will convey the PM’s proposal to survey the planting of wildly-popular cherry blossom trees in Vietnam to Japanese leaders upon his return.

The Vietnamese PM, for his part, asked Takebe to push bilateral hi-tech farming and fisheries cooperation forward, invite Japanese inflows into Vietnam’s major projects and receive more Vietnamese workers, nurses and trainees to Japan.
