AEC poses opportunities and challenges

July 19th. At the event, experts agreed that the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) unified the process of goods circulation. However, according to a report, 94% of Vietnamese enterprises know about AEC but only less than 17% of them understand the commitments of the community. In 2016, Vietnam's exports to ASEAN members decreased by 5.6%, while imports fell by 2%. Competition from ASEAN countries is one of the biggest challenges for Vietnamese enterprises in the AEC to sustain and develop their businesses.
