Specific issues included decreasing the workload in the curriculum and strengthening the skill levels of teachers.
In 2017-18 the Ministry looks to revamp textbooks, make plans to set up a national education network and allow more autonomy for educational institutions.
The ministry also announced plans to monitor the organisation of exams and conferring of certificates and awards at local levels.
