This statement was released by HSBC Vietnam at a recent seminar on the prospects of businesses in the time of digitalization. However, the leader of HSBC Vietnam also said that employees in the banking sector should not be worried about this because the banking sector is now only serving 40% of the Vietnamese population.
If more modern technology is applied to the banking sector, customers in the countryside and remote areas will be able to get access to banking services without having to open new branches.
HSBC also believes that the important thing right now is that banking employees develop new skills and find new ways to work with machines effectively.
