The figures were announced at a conference reviewing the implementation of Law on Amnesty and Law on Execution of criminal judgments on Monday in Hanoi. Minister of Public Security Tô Lâm told the event that after over 8 years and 5 years of implementing the two laws respectively, some articles were now no longer in accordance with new legal documents such as the 2013 Constitution, Penal Code and Criminal Procedure Code. That's why the two laws need amending in the near future.
