VTV.vn - On Nov 10, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development held a conference to review the 5-year implementation of agricultural restructuring. Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung attended the conference.

Positive and impressive figures were reported at the event. Vietnamese agriculture grew at 2.55% per year, while agro-exports were around $31.5 billion a year, more than double the previous five years. Rural household incomes have surged from VND75.8 million in 2012 to about VND130 million in 2017.

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung said Vietnamese agroproduction has shifted towards quality and added value, and the application of technology. In the future, the ultimate goal is to build smart agriculture that's adaptable to climate change and is aimed at sustainable development associated with building a new countryside./.
