According to the Directorate of Roads, there are currently 49 points of traffic congestion in the highway system in the North and North Central regions. Some points are 2 meters deep in water and many routes are completely paralyzed. Traffic congestion due to landslides occurred in Son La, Hoa Binh, Yen Bai, Lao Cai and Phu Tho province. Route 433 from Hoa Binh to Da Bac district is stuck in traffic for over 60 km due to landslides and groundwater flooding. As expected, only small cars can pass this route today. Yen Bai province still has dozens of landslides isolating many areas. Ten centimeters of thick sludge covers the roads causing even more congestion. It is very dangerous, because one false step can cause the cars to fall into the chasm.
