The 48th AMM plays an important role among ASEAN countries because this is also attended by representatives of 10 partner countries of ASEAN, including the US, Russia, Japan, China, and the EU. Ministerial meetings are hoped to discuss regional security, ASEAN’s central role in the region, and the establishment of the ASEAN Community.
