Germany is currently one of the leading investors and trade partners of Vietnam and has supported Vietnam with ODA for many years. The prime minister asked to improve bilateral co-operation in other fields including trade, investment, culture, education, science and technology, tourism, security and defence.
The outgoing German Ambassador to Vietnam Jutta Frasch said that Germany focused on developng the strategic partnership with Vietnam as well as supporting Vietnam to improve co-operation with other nations in the European Union. He also expressed his hope that Vietnam will create more favourable conditions for German businesses to do long term investment and trade in Vietnam.
