Four vessels have had salvage work begin, while three vessels lack viable recovery plans, two vessels remain stranded and five missing crew of one vessel are still being searched for.
Among the 10 ships sunk in Binh Dinh Province, two of them later emerged from the waves and were safely towed to the shore. Currently, over 123 tonnes of oil remains on the sunken ships, making the rescue of these vessels more urgent than ever to prevent oil spills affecting the environment.
