Instead, the country exported 300 thousand tonnes of steel billet last year, according to the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA). VSA also revealed that Vietnamese steel billets are mainly exported to the Philippines and Indonesia with the average price of 480 to 500 USD per tonne.
