VTV.vn - A total of 30 gold prizes were presented to best entries of the 38th National Television Festival at the closing ceremony held in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province on December 22.

The organising board also awarded 56 silver prizes and 128 certificates of merit on the occasion.

Addressing the event, Tran Binh Minh, Party Central Committee member and Vietnam Television (VTV) General Director, said that the winning entries were honoured in recognition of the producers’ passion and contributions to the television industry.

He hailed that the entries submitted to this year’s festival vividly reflected the current affairs in the country and localities in particular, with many of them having used the effectiveness of technology and social networks to increase its attraction to viewers.

The annual festival, co-organised by Vietnam Television and the Lam Dong Radio and Television Station, attracted nearly 500 entries in nine categories by 114 radio and television units from across the country, with the total time of more than 23,000 minutes.

The nine categories included children’s programmes, documentaries, reportages, science-education programmes, talk shows, ethnic language shows, music shows, stage performances, and television dramas.

The 2019 festival will be held in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.
