The Vietnam People’s Public Security Ceremonial Band is representing the host nation. Alongside them, this year’s event attracted the participation of 4 police forces from the US, Japan, and Singapore. These include the New York Police Department (NYPD), Osaka and Tokyo Metropolitan Police Departments, and Singapore Police Force. The event will feature ceremonial music performances by these groups and a parade by 200 international police officers.
Hundreds of Vietnamese people, tourists and expats on November 14 overflowed Dong Khoi - Ton Duc Thang - Nguyen Hue Streets to see the parade of 219 police officers with colorful clothes, flags, and professional, impressive performances.
The parade started at around 8:30 am, right after the opening ceremony at 8:00 am at the Municipal Theater in District 1.
This is a great opportunity to show unity among police officers of the participating nations. Moreover, it is a chance to deepen multicultural understanding and enhance collaboration among these law-enforcement agencies.
This is the second time the music festival has been organized in Vietnam, after the first in Hanoi in 2011.
