The event brought together 135 leading Vietnamese and foreign experts, including those from Australia, France, Belgium, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, and the US.
The participants at the event presented more than 390 scientific papers in all fields of health, including cardiology, endocrine and metabolic, haematology and digestion, tuberculosis and lung disease, paediatrics, and obstetrics.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Lam, Vice Rector of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the conference provided an opportunity for medical units, doctors, and experts from both at home and abroad to exchange experiences and get updated information on new achievements in healthcare, thereby encouraging more research into protecting people's health.
This conference is part of a series of activities celebrating the 20th founding anniversary of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
In recent years, the university has gradually affirmed its role and importance in the national university network, especially among universities majoring in the health sciences sector, while contributing to human resources training for healthcare in the Mekong Delta region and the entire country.
