The Union said that “The Tale of Kieu”, a Vietnamese epic poem written by Nguyen Du is widely regarded as the most significant work of Vietnamese literature, with 3,524 verses in “Luc bat” (six-eight) meter. The poem has been translated into more than 20 languages.
The world record was established on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the birth of UNESCO “World Cultural Figure” Nguyen Du.
