"I wake up at 3 am and prepare all ingredients. We have to use a particular rounded pot in order to make the meat tender. The soup therefore has a sweet and strong flavour", Bui Thi My Hoa, Dang Van Ngu, Hue City, said.
Bun bo Hue is a specialty of the city. And the locals still love the dish as an everyday snack equally as much as visiting tourists.
With fresh vegetables, chilli and possibly shrimp sauce… all ways of enhancing Bún bò Huế’s already inviting flavours.
Sweet soup, pork and chilli…the combined ingredients, mixed with optional shrimp sauce, has made the food well-known even beyond Vietnam’s borders.
