Cities and provinces witnessing a lower number of people with dengue fever during the past weeks include Hanoi, Ca Mau, Ha Nam, Ben Tre, Binh Phuoc, Quang Ngai, Tay Ninh and Tien Giang.
Despite the decrease, the Department of Preventive Health Care has warned that September is the peak month of dengue fever due to more rains.
It requires localities to implement preventive measures such as killing mosquito larvae, cleaning the environment and using anti-mosquito spray.
