The Phillippines National Food Authority concluded the bidding for the import of 750,000 tonnes of rice: 450,000 tonnes from Vietnam and 300,000 tonnes from Thailand.
Vietnam won the bid with an offer price of US$426.6/tonne. Rice exports from Vietnam to the Philippines will be split into 3 shipments, beginning from November this year until the first quarter of 2016.
