The event was jointly held by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations and the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association.
The event attracted the participation from Electricity of Vietnam Corporation, businesses and experts from electricity industry.
According to experts, Vietnam’s demand for electricity has risen 10 to 12 per cent annually. Elecrama Exhibition 2016 will provide a forum where local policy makers and enterprises can seek power solutions.
Ajay Mahajan, Head of Trade Fair Marketing, Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association, said: "Vietnam is considered one of the key pillars in India’s Look East policy. As such both sides have developed collaboration in various sectors. Electricity and power collaboration offers major potential".
"With its rising demand for power, Vietnam is now proactively seeking new technological solutions to serve the demand for power in its growing manufacturing industry".
Dam Tien Thang, Head of Electricity Management Division, Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, said: "Through the event, we want to find partners, and advanced technologies such as smart homes or smart city solutions to apply to innovate our lives and manufacturing".
Elecrama Exhibition will be organised in India in February 2016. The exhibition is considered the biggest congregation of people, machinery and ideas related to the electricity and power generation solutions.
