The Trophy team from Hanoi Industrial University finished runners-up, with 3,000 km a litre. The results far more exceeded previous records of some 1,000km for a litre of fuel.
The two teams will also represent Vietnam at International Eco-driving Competition in Japan this October. Now in its seventh year, the competition has attracted 184 teams participating in home-made and vehicles for commercial use categories.
