Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has urged provincial authorities to take timely action to help affected households and stressed that sufficient supply of water is paramount at this moment. Following this direction, the People's Committee of Sóc Trăng province has mobilised transportation to provide fresh water to residents in Vĩnh Hải village, Vĩnh Châu commune. As recorded, there are 140,000 residents in Sóc Trăng province that lack fresh water for daily activities. This prompt support has helped reduce the burden on affected households suffering drought and salinisation.
