Vietnam makes great strides in women’s rights

However, many women worldwide still encounter difficulties because of their gender. Along with other countries in Asia, Vietnam is also facing this problem. As International Women’s Day is coming tomorrow, let’s find out how Vietnam has progressed in the protection of women’s rights in this week’s edition of Vietnam in Closeup.

Considered one of the world’s fastest growing economies, achieving sustainable development while ensuring gender equality is one of the most important tasks for Vietnam to complete. Even though problems and shortcomings still exist, the positive results of today, in addition to assistance from the international community, will be a good foundation for Vietnam to work towards the goal of gender equality in the future./.
