Media’s role in population work stressed

The meet-up was part of events in the run-up to Vietnam’s Population Day on December 26th themed on elderly care. The conference discussed in-depth about population work and the role of media.

The General Department of Population laid out out several plans on elderly care, such as building elderly health care centres in localities, making care for the elderly part of population work, as well as maintaining the replacement rate and prolonging Vietnam’s golden age demographic. Vietnam has a population of 90.5 million people, and is proving popular with investors.
