VTV.vn - Dense rainfall and possible floods are hitting many provinces in the Northern region of Vietnam.

As one of the worst affected localities, Tuan Giao District in Dien Bien suffered a heavy downpour at first light on Saturday, causing floods that destroyed hundreds of houses and public buildings, and swept away the possessions of local residents.

Torrential rain is forecast to continue hitting Northern provinces until August 3rd. There is high risk of flooding, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting. Hanoi is forecast to suffer from rain and thunderstorms at any time during the three-day stretch.
