Fisheries sector restructure to boost added value

The limitations were pointed out in a conference this morning in Bac Lieu. According to reports from Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, 36 out of 63 cities and provinces are taking measures to restructure their local fishery sectors.

The sector has witnessed efforts to diversify fishery products besides expanding farming area. The localities have also actively driven fishermen to develop sustainable fishing through strengthening offshore fishing fleets through the provisions outlined in Decree 67.
