VTV.vn - In a speech at the plenary session of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said Vietnam was committed to cutting total greenhouse gas emissions by 8% by 2030.

The reductions could increase to 25% if the country received more finance from the international community. In recent decades, Denmark has been an active supporter in helping Vietnam mitigate the worst effects of climate change.

The Paris Agreement will be a boon to Vietnam, one of the five countries most affected by climate change. The support from developed countries like Denmark for Vietnam will be significant to help achieve the common goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to climate change.
