Commodity derivatives market gets new development plan
VTV.vn - The Minister of Industry and Trade on Monday approved a 2026–2030 project to develop the country's commodity derivatives market, aiming to help businesses manage price risks and strengthen links between the derivatives market, physical commodity markets and production needs”.

The project will provide a foundation for strengthening the legal framework governing commodity derivatives, including a draft Law on Commodity Derivatives Trading now being prepared for submission to the National Assembly. It also aims to develop a transparent, safe, and efficient market based on market principles and aligned with international practices.

By 2030, Vietnam aims to develop products linked to around 10 competitive commodities, establish domestic reference prices for three to five key commodities, and reach up to 10 million contracts annually./.
