The crew of QB 93985TS was operating 94 nautical miles from Hòn La Island with 7 fishermen on board led by captain Nguyễn Văn Hậu. They found a drifting fisherman. The crew rescued the man and took him to Cảng Gianh Border Guards. The survivor was identified as being Xu Zi Li, from Fujian Province, China. The province’s border command has cared for the man while co-ordinating with local authorities to return the fisherman to China.
