TPP trade talks extended as ministers struggle for deal
VTV.vn - As mentioned in our earlier bulletins, top trade representatives of 12 Pacific countries began their talks in Atlanta on Wednesday. However, little progress was made after the two-day working session.

Talks have bogged down on several issues, including how the US will open its market to foreign auto parts – particularly from Japanese car makers – and to what extent Canada is willing to open its market to dairy products from Australia and New Zealand. Another unresolved issue is America’s push to establish lengthier patent protections for bio-drugs, made with living organisms.

The countries will need to extend their negotiations until the end of today or even this weekend.
