Led by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, the committee consists of five sub-committees in charge of content, logistics, health and safety, communications and protocol.
According to Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, hosting the (APEC) forum in 2017 is a lynchpin in Vietnam’s foreign policy until 2020, reflecting the country’s dedication to the promotion of shared interests in APEC in an evolving regional landscape.
Since joining the forum in November 1998, Vietnam has made a number of significant contributions, including the successful organisation of APEC 2006 and the 6th APEC Human Resources Development Ministerial Meeting in September 2014.
