The project was initiated by the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department in co-operation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
During the 4-month period, the project helped to build a procedural code which was then widely-used by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in disaster management. It also provides Vietnam with competent experts who can assist Vietnam in the field and help Vietnam improve its capacity of disaster risk management.
