China and Vietnam hold third border defence friendship exchange

Defence Minister General Phung Quang Thanh and his Chinese counterpart Chang Wanquan attended the event.

At the event, the two sides expressed that the exchange will strengthen mutual political trust and create new momentum to deepen the Sino-Vietnamese comprehensive strategic partnership.

They also confirmed their determination to ensure peace, friendship, co-operation and development in their border areas, and shared their experiences in border management and crime prevention.
