The Meeting concluded on a high note with the adoption of a joint communiqué reflecting the future directions of ASEAN.
Anifah Aman, Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs, said: "The ASEAN Ministers and partners also exchanged views on the future direction of relations in the region as well as global and regional issues such as climate change, disaster management, terrorism and transnational criminals, as well as disputes in the East Sea. Throughout the meeting, ASEAN member continued to show the image of a unified association".
