HCM CITY — The third annual Changing Cancer Care, a global challenge aimed at inspiring non-treatment ideas that may improve cancer care for patients, has begun.
This year’s challenge will focus on solutions for cancer care in low- and middle-income countries, which bear a disproportionate burden of the global cancer epidemic.
Patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals and concerned citizens who want to improve cancer care are encouraged to propose ideas that address specific challenges in the following three categories: support tools, educational tools and technology.
The winner of each category will present their ideas to a panel of judges at the annual World Cancer Congress on October 3, 2018, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The three prizes will together be worth US$100,000 (one of $50,000 and two of $25,000). The Tokyo-based Astellas Pharma Inc is the sponsor of the awards.
Entries will be accepted until July 25, 2018.
