The problem is more serious than we often think. According to the United Nations report, up to 92% of people worldwide do not breathe clean air. Around seven million people die prematurely each year worldwide due to air pollution, of which, the Asia-Pacific region accounted for nearly four million.
Air pollution also causes the global economy to lose about $5,000 billion annually.
