Living in harmony with nature, and understanding the beauty and importance of nature in life. This was the message of this year's World Environment Day, which is celebrated today, June 5th. In Vietnam, the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment have collaborated with the Ba Ria Vung Tau provincial People's Committee to kickstart a program to plant trees - called Vietnam's 1 million-tree Fund on Monday morning. This is the 5th year such a program has been launched, having so far planted 400,000 trees. Earlier on June 4th, the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment also launched the 2017 Action Month for the Environment, calling on people to change their lifestyles and behaviours in order to contribute to protecting the environment and harmony between man and nature for ourselves and for future generations.
