World Bank offers climate change loan

This will help to support projects for urban development, improved climate change resilience, and ensure sustainable livelihoods in the Mekong Delta. Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue attended the signing ceremony.

The programme consists of two projects. The first will develop Can Tho City and enhance the adaptability of the city. The project will benefit about 420,000 citizens. The second will help the nine provinces of the Mekong Delta ensure sustainable livelihoods for 1.2 million local residents.
