At the meeting, Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue said sustainable macro-economic development is a long-term goal of the Vietnamese government. Kwakwa highlighted that the World Bank would continue to support Vietnam in this mission. She also stressed that Vietnam should continue to streamline macro-economic management such as how to effectively use monetary and fiscal policy, how to maintain the liquidity of the banking system. The World Bank Representative also suggested several recommendations to increase budget revenue for the country.
