The project covers an area of 231.7ha and has a total investment of 3.54 trillion VND (149 million USD), including over 3.4 trillion VND (143.2 million USD) sourced from the provincial budget.
The construction project will include many items, such as a traffic system, a drainage system, a wastewater treatment station, a transformer station, a lighting system, a water supply and fire protection system, a pier, a power supply system, a communication system, and others.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of Ben Tre Provincial People’s Committee Tran Ngoc Tam said, that upon its completion, the project will meet the requirements of enterprises, to invest in the Phu Thuạn Industrial Park.
It will also contribute to handling local raw materials, creating revenue for the budget, speeding up urbanisation and creating more jobs for local people, Tam added.
The Phu Thuan Industrial Park is the third industrial park in Ben Tre province and the first one in Binh Dai district.
