The project is one of the activities to celebrate the 19th Party Congress of Thanh Hoa province.
The 35km route begins at Nhoi junction in An Hung ward, Thanh Hoa city and concludes at the intersection of Highway 47 with the road leading to Tho Xuan airport in Sao Vang town, Tho Xuan district.
The project, which is expected to cost a total of VND3.567 trillion, will consist of four lanes for motorised vehicles and two others for rudimentary vehicles.
The road is expected to be inaugurated and put into operation after 24 months of construction, shortening the two-way traffic time between Thanh Hoa city and Tho Xuan airport and completing synchronous transport infrastructure in the area.
The connection route will contribute to developing Thanh Hoa province into an even more beautiful, civilised and modern area and forming a development quadrilateral in the north of the country (along with Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh.
