On behalf of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng expressed the warm hospitality from Vietnam to all representatives. This is Vietnam's biggest foreign event this year, making a real contribution to the process of building the ASEAN Community as well as further enhancing Vietnam's position in the region and the world.
Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng and Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc said that with the rich activities, the World Economic Forum on ASEAN will bring practical benefits, specifically for ministries, sectors, and localities.
Also, Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the guests visited an exhibition titled "The Angle of the Asean" which introduces the most typical images about people, country, culture and potential strength of 10 Asean countries in the revolutionary era. This exhibition is Vietnam's initiative which conveys the message of a multi-cultural ASEAN Community in strong the solidarity. This is a unique and unprecedented idea ever in the World Economic Forum on ASEAN.
