VTV.vn - Pork consumption in China has dropped amid worries about African swine fever outbreaks.

In many provinces of China, local companies and residents choose beef or lamb for their meals, which has reduced the consumption of pork in China. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture has banned the transport of live hogs in provinces where infections have been reported.

Pork prices in China in the past month increased by 7 - 10%. In particular, pork prices in southern China are 50% higher than in the north. China's government has been considering the import of pork products from other countries.
